Homemade Hemp Milk

Drink

Hemp seeds are one of the staples that are always in my pantry. Why? Because they’re loaded with so many benefits! They’re rich in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, protein, minerals, and Vitamin E. They even have the ability to reduce PMS and menopause symptoms. WHAT?! Maybe I should’ve started with that because nourishing my Flo is always my focus. I will be making another post about living in my Flo and honoring my cycle, thanks to the goddess Alisa Vitti, so stay tuned for that! But now, back to hemp seeds.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups filtered water
  • 1/2 cup of hemp seeds
Make it

Combine filtered water + hemp seeds in a blender. Blend on high for about 2 minutes. Straining in a fine mesh strainer is optional (I did this step because I need a new blender, but if you have a Vitamix there is no need!) Feel free to flavor with cinnamon, vanilla, matcha, honey, or anything you can think of!

Nourishing with Intention
  • Hemp seeds provide fiber, Omega 3 + 6 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals

Rose Cacao Latte
This winter has been all about living that full-fat latte life! Is that a thing? Well if not, now it is. It's been way too cold for smoothies most mornings, but I've wanted to incorporate more supplements and herbs for immunity. In my mind, supplements are so difficult to remember if you're taking them in pill form. This is why I like incorporating them into my daily diet. This latte is packed full of nourishing fat from coconut butter for energy and fullness all morning long. My favorite part is that you can pre-pack it in a reusable Stasher Bag and take on the go. This makes it perfect for traveling or you can pre-pack it to make at ...

Cleansing Winter Mint Chip Smoothie
I don't know about you, but holiday meals always leave me feeling sluggish and tired. The sugary treats, heavy dinners, and close-knit family plans can wreak serious havoc on our immune systems. I always strive to keep a healthy gut because 80 percent of immunity lays there! While I don't consider heavy detoxing healthy for anyone, I like to fill my smoothies with immune boosting, gut-healing, and cleansing nutrients. Instead of reaching for a peppermint mocha, I wanted to channel those flavors into a smoothie. This winter mint-chip dream has the perfect amount of detoxifying properties and energy our bodies need. Mint promotes healthy dig ...

Coconut Cacao Date Shake
If you follow along with my Instagram stories you probably already know this smoothie has been on repeat. It literally tastes like a chocolate coconut milkshake and I'm 100% okay with that. I added a couple adaptogens to mine to balance stress, anxiety, and hormones, and I can't taste them at all! (ashwagandha typically has a very bitter taste) This particular smoothie is topped with my homemade coconut yogurt, local bee pollen + shelled hemp seeds. Here ya go! Ingredients 1/2 cup frozen coconut meat (I got mine at Trader Joe's) 1-2 large handfuls of spinach 2-3 pitted medium-large Medjool dates (depending on your sweetness pre ...
