Citrus Maca Chai Smoothie

Drink Herbs + Supplements Uncategorized

Anyone else excited that it’s currently citrus season? I know I am! I’ve recently been learning more about chakras and why it’s important to make sure they’re unblocked. The sacral chakra, in particular, is responsible for feminine energy and reproductive organs. So how do you know if your sacral chakra is blocked and how do you unblock it? You may have a lack of motivation, creativity, and reduced libido if your sacral chakra is blocked. To help open it, it’s important to bring in warmth, orange foods, and honor your reproductive organs. This citrus maca chai smoothie was created specifically for it!

Did you know that BPA and other plastic chemicals are endocrine disruptors and can have the power to cause reproductive problems? I love replacing typical plastic storage bags with reusable silicone ones from Stasher. Add the hormone-regulating power of maca and this just may be your new favorite smoothie for your monthly cycle.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. Gaia Herbs MacaBoost Vanilla Chai (or 1 tsp. of maca, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, cardamom, ginger)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen coconut meat
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 peeled orange
  • 1 Tbsp. toasted flax seed

Make

  1. Prep ingredients by dicing fresh bananas and coconut meat. Add them to a reusable Stasher bag and freezing overnight.
  2. In the morning add everything to a high-speed blender for about 30 seconds to a minute.
  3. Serve with extra cinnamon on top or an added kick.
  4. Enjoy!

It's packed with greens, veggies, and the tastiest peanut dressing. Personally, I like using crunchy peanut butter for an extra texture. It's super easy to prep to take on the go, whether you're enjoying it in the office or at the park. Makes 2 servings ...

A Day of Supplements
Hi, friends! So, I receive a lot of questions about the exact supplements I take every day for Gastroparesis and gut health. I figured I would just write a whole post on it because it's a bit detailed. Before reading this, please note that everyone is totally different and I do not intend to treat or cure. This is simply what helps me the most, and if there's even the smallest chance it will help someone else out there suffering I'd love to share. There are a lot of awesome brands, but Nature's Sunshine is always my go-to. I've tried so many digestive enzymes, even more powerful than these, and they just don't flow with my body the ...

Rose Cacao Latte
This winter has been all about living that full-fat latte life! Is that a thing? Well if not, now it is. It's been way too cold for smoothies most mornings, but I've wanted to incorporate more supplements and herbs for immunity. In my mind, supplements are so difficult to remember if you're taking them in pill form. This is why I like incorporating them into my daily diet. This latte is packed full of nourishing fat from coconut butter for energy and fullness all morning long. My favorite part is that you can pre-pack it in a reusable Stasher Bag and take on the go. This makes it perfect for traveling or you can pre-pack it to make at ...
